- Focus on your Circle of Control, Influence and Concern, IN THAT ORDER
- Stop worrying about what other people say or think. Never take advice from someone who is not further down the path than you
- Stop looking at other people and being jealous or looking down on them. Focus on getting your own house in order.
- Embracing Challenges
- One of the biggest challenges to Building the Life you want is the people in your life
- Set firm boundaries with people in your life and enforce them.
- Respect the boundaries others in your life have set and honor them.
- Improvement Through Discipline
- You only develop discipline through discomfort. Discipline yourself so that the world doesn’t have to.
- Don’t bite off more than you can chew. Small positive steps make a big difference.
- Doing anything meaningful takes time, decide up front that you are in for the long haul
- Staying Motivated
- Positive emotion is experienced by having a goal and making noticeable progress toward it. Set smaller goals that lead to the larger ones so that you can see progress in the direction you need to go.
